Are you aware that there are many different entrepreneur types. So today I am going to give you the low down on each one so that you can see which one applies to you.

Entrepreneurs come in all shapes and sizes, they have many different qualities and characteristics. One of the official definitions of an entrepreneur is “somebody who has the capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of it’s risks in order to make a profit”. That is according to Wikipedia. A fairly open ended quote and generalistic.

The Opportunist Entrepreneur – This type of entrepreneur has a canny knack to seek out and spot an opportunity. They also have a killer instinct to act upon what they find and are highly driven by money, and making lots of it.

They enjoy making money while they are not working, this is called passive income. They tend not to be too big in the long term planning of their business. A lot of their decisions are based on risk for gaining large rewards.

The Problem Solving Entrepreneur – Problem, what problem?

Problem solvers thrive on a conundrum, something that they can get the old brain matter around. Failure is not an option as they feel that there is always a solution.

They like to get their hands dirty and are creative with them. Also time management is one their skill sets, they stay calm so working to deadlines and not getting stressed is a main attribute. They take great satisfaction when the issue is resolved.

The Resourceful Entrepreneur – Usually have very high intelligence and they also recognise that things cannot be achieved by doing them on their own. Delegation is a strong attribute and they are not afraid to call on experts to help them with specific tasks of a project. For them success is measured on the profits that they make from the efforts that they put in.

The Innovative Entrepreneur – They are highly imaginative and creative when it comes to coming up with ideas for products and services that they want to introduce to the world.

What they may lack in actual business attributes is more than made up for by the design and invention attributes that they have.

They are more happier with the environment of creating the product and for them success is the impact that their creations have on the world.
