Home Business Versatility – Is your home business being versatile enough?
An article from Matt Press, Splash Copywriters, about home business versatility and being versatile in order to thrive.
These days, home businesses need to be versatile in order to thrive. They need to master search, social media, marketing and PR.
Big brands have the resources to employ numerous teams that can handle the excessive workload required in the digital arena.
But what if you’re a small business? Or, worse still, what if you’re just starting up and are running a home business on your own? You’re going to have to master all these things and fit them into your strategy in the most efficient way possible.
That means finding a sweet spot in the amount of time and dedication you apply to each.
There is a common denominator within the four pillars: content.
But the crucial point is, home businesses must understand the difference between mechanical tactics and tangible results. That is to say, there’s no point creating content just for the sake of it. Your content has to be interesting to a target audience. Moreover, it has to be part of an overarching strategy that has, at its very essence, the goal of making more profit for the business.
When you’re creating content, it needs to achieve certain things.
Firstly, it must attract attention from the right people. Secondly, it should engage with a suitable audience.
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Is your content optimised and promoted properly?
2. Is your content meaningful to prospective customers?
3. Does you content inspire action?
4. Does your content help your reader take the next step?
In summary, a brand only develops a successful digital marketing campaign when those four pillars work together in harmony. There’s no doubting that well-written and well-designed content can power up a home business, but there’s little point in whacking out 100 keyword-heavy blog posts that no one’s interested in.
The rapid growth in content production amplifies this point. Everyone is creating content and the competition is so tough that content on its own isn’t enough anymore.
