Maybe you have got one for your favourite restaurant or coffee shop. Think of the pleasure that you get when you have built up enough points to get some money off or something for free. That is the feeling you want your customers to have.

So you could set up a loyalty program that your customers register for and offer them incentives to spend more with you. Maybe you could send out promotional coupons to your email list and build in a scarcity element of giving them a limited time to take up the offer, or make a limited number available. The key is to be creative and reward your online business customers.

Again it is time to get your thinking caps on. How many times have you got a card through the post on your birthday from a business that you have bought something from?

Or you get an email wishing you a happy birthday or maybe it is an anniversary of when you first became a customer of theirs.

This is not done to offer discounts or anything like that, rather it is to let you know that they have not forgotten about you after they have taken your money. They are letting you know that you are a valued customer and part of their family if you like.

So make sure you do this with your customers as it will lead them back to you and they will remain loyal customers.
