Born and raised in a caravan, Copy This Idea author, Andrew Reynolds attended school on the local council estate. He wasn’t a strong performer at school, leaving with only 4 ‘O’ levels (including woodwork and drawing) and then drifting from one meaningless and unfulfilling job to another, including working as a clerk in the health service, a trainee Estate Agent, a shop assistant, a soft toy salesman, and various other attempts at employment, before starting a career as a trainee in the house building industry.
Andrew Reynolds found the years ticking away as he ended up drifting from one meaningless and unfulfilling job after another.
A few years before he decided to start his own business, Andrew was virtually penniless and on the edge of despair.
Yet despite all this, using the simple ideas he outlines in his book, Copy This Idea, starting part-time in his spare room at home, Andrew quickly became a self-made Millionaire at the age of 45 and a Multi-Millionaire by the time he was 50.

He went on to win the coveted Surrey Business Person of the Year Award together with the Small Business of the Year Award.
Further awards have followed including Business Event of the Year and Best UK and International Conference for his sold out Entrepreneurs Bootcamp – a charity event which he held at the O2 Arena in London. Attended by 8,000 aspiring home based entrepreneurs from all over the world, this event raised over £700,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation children’s charity.
He has since appeared on television a number of times, on Sky, BBC1 and BBC2. He became a Patron of the Prince’s Trust and has been commended for his business initiatives for young people such as Make Your Mark with a Tenner. An initiative he funded to teach young people about making money on a limited budget and about the importance of social responsibility.
Social responsibility is a subject Andrew Reynolds is passionate about which is why, more than just creating his own personal financial success, he has also used the ideas he shares in this book, to raise millions of pounds for national children’s charities such as Great Ormond Street and the Make-A-Wish Foundation along with other local charities including Disability Initiative and the Phyllis Tucker Hospice.
In the video above you will also see a soup kitchen in Cape Town, South Africa that Andrew funds, which feeds around 400 young children 3 meals a day. He has also helped build more than 20 new brick homes to replace the ‘temporary’ shelters made from old tin and scraps of wood in the surrounding shanty town of Khayelitsha.
And to think this all started when he stumbled upon a unique and highly profitable way of making money which he’d never even heard of at the time.
