PCCR to Launch the Country’s First Philippine Cybercriminology Summit 2026

Securing the Nation in the Digital Age

As cyber threats continue to evolve and impact national security, public safety, the economy, and critical infrastructure, the Philippines faces an urgent need for a stronger, more coordinated response to cybercrime.

To help address this challenge, the Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR), through the PCCR Leadership Institute (PLI), will convene the 1st Philippine Cybercriminology Summit 2026 on October 7–8, 2026 at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC), Pasay City. The Summit aims to bring together government, law enforcement, academia, industry, and international partners to strengthen the country’s cyber defense ecosystem.

Unlike traditional cybersecurity conferences, the Summit recognizes that addressing cybercrime requires more than technical expertise. While cybersecurity professionals possess the knowledge to protect systems and respond to digital threats, criminologists and law enforcement officers contribute expertise in criminal investigation, digital evidence preservation, forensic analysis, and prosecution. The Summit seeks to bridge the gap of these disciplines and promote Cybercriminology as an integrated approach to combating cybercrime.

The event also seeks to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, recognizing that cyber threats cut across multiple sectors and institutions. By bringing together policymakers, investigators, cybersecurity practitioners, educators, and technology leaders, the Summit aims to encourage greater coordination, information sharing, and collaborative action in addressing the country’s evolving cyber challenges.

The Summit begins with Day 0 on October 6, 2026, featuring an exclusive Cybercriminology Focus Group Discussion (FGD) by invitation. The executive session will gather key leaders from government, law enforcement, industry, and academia to identify priority cybercrime issues, discuss capability gaps, and formulate strategic recommendations that will help shape the discussions during the Summit proper.

The public conference on October 7 will focus on identifying the country’s cybersecurity gaps, emerging threats, and policy priorities through keynote addresses, executive conversations, and panel discussions. On October 8, attention shifts to solutions through technology showcases, best practices, innovation, collaborative initiatives, and industry exhibitions designed to strengthen the Philippines’ digital resilience.

More than 1,000 delegates are expected to participate, including representatives from government agencies, law enforcement organizations, the judiciary, local government units, academic institutions, technology companies, financial institutions, and international organizations.
